the last sail

Today two friends and I delivered my boat 40 miles up the brokerage where I originally bought it five years ago. It was a perfect 90-degree day on a glassy bay with light but good winds - amazing conditions that made it harder to let go, but at the same time what better conditions for ending a chapter ...

We ate, drank, lounged like big cats reading (I made a little headway on some Hesse).

I have a lot to describe, But I'll add more later. After a few near sleepless nights of equal parts work, too-deep contemplation/meditation, and run-of-the-mill insomnia starting Thursday night, I can hardly keep my eyes open.
